Announcing New Festive Foundations Programme
13/11/2025The Big Challenge for Trustees Week
In late November, Sam (Chair of Trustees) and Stuart (Treasurer) will be stepping down from the Restore board after reaching the maximum of ten years. This week – as part of Trustees Week – they are undertaking a brilliant fundraising sponsored walk for Restore.

“Providing Restore’s services has been extremely challenging over recent years owing to the changing fundraising landscape and decisions made in last year’s Autumn budget. Please help me to give Restore a parting gift by sponsoring me on this farewell walk. Every contribution is much appreciated. Thank you.” (Sam Mostyn, Chair of Trustees)
Stuart and Sam had intended to run the Oxford Half Marathon together, to raise funds supporting Restore’s work to deliver impactful outcomes for people with mental ill-health through recovery groups, one-to-one coaching and training.
Sadly, the Oxford Half was not to be: in training, Sam fractured her pelvis, and Stuart set off a long-standing back problem. Undeterred they decided to walk around Restore’s recovery groups instead, a sort-of farewell tour during Trustees’ Week.
The 16 mile route, partially along the Thames Path, will take-in recovery groups at Fleet Meadow, Littlemore, Elder Stubbs, Oxfordshire Recovery College, the Garden Cafe and the Beehive, along with Restore head office, and the coaching team. They will also take a diversion to Restore’s founder’s house – he set up Restore in 1977 and is still involved today.
