Finn’s story to recovery

Restore provides a safe, structured, and supportive space for people, helping them to build confidence, develop practical skills, and move towards greater independence. Members gain real-world experience, routine, connections, and a sense of purpose, all of which contribute to their recovery.

Finn, who once felt trapped and unable to move forward in life, joined the Garden Cafe recovery group. For Finn, the cafe was not only a consistent and structured safe space, but was also a place that Finn genuinely enjoyed being in.

Learning customer service skills helped him discover new capabilities, and believe in his ability to take on new challenges. The care he received at Restore contributed to Finn moving into his own house and beginning volunteer work at a charity shop, where his confidence continue to grow.
