10/04/20253 Tips for Stress Awareness Month 💚
It's Stress Awareness Month - a time to acknowledge that stress affects everyone. It can impact relationships, productivity, and well-being. By shifting our perspective, stress management can be learnt and become a tool for growth. Here are three areas that can help with stress management.
1. Relationships and connections:Â
Practicing open communication, listening intentionally and empathetically are useful skills to support strong support networks where you feel heard.
2. Prioritising things that bring you joy:Â
Recognising activities and habits which spark joy and protecting time for them is essential to maintaining balance and well-being. This can also improve capacity for stress.
3. Get active:Â
Incorporating movement, big or small, is proven to reduce stress through releasing endorphins and lowering stress hormones. Getting moving in anyway is a great and cost-free stress reliever!
Restore offers services which could help with stress, such as free courses at the Oxfordshire Recovery College, or workplace training around mental health awareness and stress at work.
Let’s break the stigma around stress and support each other with healthy coping strategies. Restore’s vision for a mentally healthier community starts with open conversations and collaboration.
