ORC 10 – Big Tea Party

18 July at 14:00 16:30

Ten years ago Oxfordshire Recovery College was just a bright idea. Back in Summer 2015, lots of people worked really hard to start up the  Recovery College with a handful of tutors and a handful of courses back. Since then we’ve gone from strength to strength. ORC now offers free courses on over 60 topics in mental health, all co produced within ORC and informed by lived experience. Last year we delivered over 300 courses across Oxfordshire with over 3000 student attendances. We know from feedback that many people’s lives have  changed for the better after attending courses and finding renewed hope and confidence to go forward.

The time has come to celebrate! Please join us at one or more of our 8 events scheduled between 11th and 18th July. The biggest events are  our Library of Life  Event on 17th July and our Big Tea Party on 18th July. Both are free and all are welcome.

At the Library of Life event we will show some short videos about mental health made by students on Thursday July 17th from 6pm to 8pm at the Asian Cultural Centre, East Oxford – it’s sure to be inspirational and moving. Refreshments provided.

At the  Big Tea Party on Friday 18th July from 2pm in the beautiful surroundings of Elder Stubbs Allotments, there will be an exhibition, the unveiling of our new mural, creative activities and lots of delicious birthday cake.
