“It all began with a silly conversation with a friend. We saw the poster for charity skydives and dared each other to do it. It was a no brainer to do it for Restore. They supported me so much when I was experiencing mental health issues, and helped me to rebuild my life.
On the day, I felt a little nervous, but I was raring to get up there. The people we jumped with were really reassuring, which made it so much easier.
The jump was incredible. As I landed, I felt a tremendous rush of energy and positivity. We were jumping about hugging each other. We wanted to get straight back in the plane and do it again! A couple of days later I thought to myself, ‘If I can do that, then I can do anything I want to in my life’.
I would tell anyone considering the jump to do it, without a doubt. It’s an unbelievable experience and you’re doing something great for such a deserving charity – what’s holding you back?!”
