18/03/2020COVID-19 – Measures and Service Announcement
As we are all aware the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak is impacting on services across the world and in the UK.
Restore’s top priority is the health and wellbeing of our members, volunteers, and staff. We are continuously monitoring developments in the ongoing situation.
In light of government guidelines, we have made the decision to operate a reduced service. Please read ahead for how this pertains to Restore’s services.
Our Recovery Groups, Café’s and Coaching Services will be closed to members from Wednesday 18th March 2020. Recovery Coordinators and Coaches are working closely with the Executive Team, and will advise on alternative support measures during the service closure shortly.
Our Referrals Service is on hold for the time-being. If you are experiencing difficulties with your mental health please make contact with Oxfordshire Mind (https://www.oxfordshiremind.org.uk/) or the Samaritans (https://www.samaritans.org/branches/oxford/).
All training, including Mental Health First Aid, Working with Mental Health, and staff courses, will be cancelled until the end of April. We will review this decision weekly, and be in touch should circumstances change.
Courses at the Oxfordshire Recovery College for the remainder of the Spring Term have been cancelled. We will release information about the Summer Term once we are better able to commit to holding these courses.
We advise anyone over 70, and anyone caring for an immuno-compromised or elderly person to exercise caution and encourage you to use your discretion about whether you want to come into Restore’s offices or not. Our offices will remain open for the time being for staff and volunteers who wish to continue to come in rather than working from home, and phones will be manned during normal office hours for the time being.
We will continue to track the situation daily and follow the guidance of the government and health officials. We appreciate your patience during this time.
