Recent months have seen a whirlwind of energy, community spirit and incredible fundraising feats. Here's a snapshot of the outstanding individuals and organisations who make Restore tick.
Restore's record-breaking Oxford Half: 110 runners hit the streets, taking strides for better mental health and raising over £35,000. Impact: This could fund a recovery worker and the materials at a recovery site for a whole year, helping individuals to rebuild their lives.
24hr pedal power: North South Wines, corporate supporters, sweated and cycled all day and night in a pelotonathon to raise an incredible £9,000.
Impact: This sum could fund a team of therapeutic recovery workers at one of Restore's groups for over a month.
10 fundraisers with 83 blisters: Tingewick society, made up of 29 medical students, have organised over 10 events this year, including climbing the Three Peaks in just over 24 hours. The firm are on track to raise over £10,000! Impact: This could cover the costs of Restore's entire coaching team for two weeks, with 39% of coached members moving into work.
Cowley Road Carnival comeback: After five years, the carnival returned, with the Garden café generating five times their usual takings! Impact: New visitors visited the café, turning curiosity into support and improving visibility of Restore's work.
Chat & Bat with Monty: In partnership with cricketing legend Monty Panesar, Oxenford Cricket Club and Sixes Social, the event blended sport and mental health conversations. Impact: The sum raised could cover materials costs at a recovery group for an entire year, plus 20% of the maintenance costs.
