Sainsbury’s stores at Heyford Hill and Oxford Westgate have chosen Restore as this year’s Local Charity Partner.
We asked, and you voted, in your droves, nominating Restore for Sainsbury’s Local Charity Partner across the county. Thanks to your support, Restore was then shortlisted for two stores: Westgate and Heyford Hill.
We were then invited to the stores to talk about our work, and after a heart-warming speech from Beehive member Robin, staff at both stores chose to support Restore for the next year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for us to reach more people in the community and raise awareness of our work.
Sainsburys’ Heyford Hill and Westgate, Oxford said; ‘we’ve had a great response from our customers this year, both through in-store and online votes. We’re delighted to have chosen a charity which touched so many of our colleagues’ hearts. We will now be working closely with the charity to ensure they really benefit from being our local Charity for the next twelve months’.
Sainsbury’s colleagues will volunteer at the Elder Stubbs Festival on 16th August, and visit the charity next month to see the difference their support will make.
This is the sixth year of Sainsbury’s Local Charity partner scheme, which has raised over £6 million for local charities.
