Hundreds of people turned out on Wednesday 26th June to celebrate the official opening of Restore’s shop and café at Littlemore Mental Health Centre. The new project, run in partnership with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, supports people with mental health problems to recover and develop work-related skills.
Mel Giedroyc, presenter of BBC2’S Great British Bake-off, kindly agreed to do the honours. She revealed that the café will be called the Littlemore Lounge, as voted for by group members and café customers. She said how inspired she had been by the project and cut the ribbon to declare it officially open.
Live music was provided by rock band The Missing Notes and Restore’s Banbury group choir, while guests feasted on barbequed burgers and cakes.
Congratulations to the Littlemore Recovery Group who organised a fantastic event enjoyed by all. Many thanks to Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust for their support.
