About Restore

Restore is an Oxfordshire-based mental health charity that supports people to take control of their recovery, develop skills and lead meaningful lives. This is done in a variety of ways:

Restore is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as required under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), registration number Z468091.

Restore promises to respect any personal data shared or received from other organisations, and ensure it is kept safely and responsibly. Restore aims to be clear when collecting data and not do anything with it that would not be reasonably expected.

Why Restore collect information and how its used

Clients and members:

To develop a better understanding of clients through personal data allows Restore to make better decisions and improve the services and support that people receive.

The information is used to answer questions, provide advice and guidance, ensure we offer the right services, and ultimately help individuals to achieve goals and start employment, volunteering or education.

Some people choose to share their story about experiences with mental ill health and their recovery. Information is only shared publicly, if explicit and informed consent was given. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Supporters and customers: 

By collecting basic information such as name and contact details Restore, can:

  • Provide services, products or information requested
  • Keep a record of a relationship with Restore
  • Maintain contact preferences and permissions
  • Understand how to improve services, products or information

Restore has an ‘opt-in only’ communication policy. Marketing communications will only be sent to those who have explicitly given permission for contact via specified channels; email, phone or post. This consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Information sharing

Information sharing in the context of this policy means the disclosure to a third party organisation. Restore will only share information in exceptional circumstances where necessary and proportionate and in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act.

Restore will only ever share data in other circumstances if explicit and informed consent has been given.

Storage and retention of data

Appropriate technical controls are maintained to protect data and personal details. Online forms are encrypted, network is protected and routinely monitored. Regular reviews of access to information are undertaken to ensure information is only accessible by the relevant people.

Restore do not retain data longer than is legally permissible or reasonable.  Car is taken to destroy data responsibly, following guidelines laid down in the GDPR.

Restore aim to keep information up to date. Individuals and organisations are requested to inform Restore if there are discrepancies in information or if any details require updating. Restore will adhere to individual's rights concerning data. To raise any data protection questions or concerns, contact the Restore team using the contact methods on the website. 

Shop Purchases

Sales are managed via PayPal. Orders will be processed typically within 3-5 days. 

Refunds cannot be accepted unless an item is faulty. Contact fundraising @ restore .org. uk
