One of the cutest events of the Oxfordshire calendar – The World Pooh Sticks Championships – needs volunteers!!
The event is on 7th June 1pm – 5pm at Cogges Farm, Whitney.
Oxford Spires Rotary, said, “If you or a group of friends are interested in coming along to help out then that would be great. We don’t run this primarily as a fundraiser, however last year it was a huge success and we raised over £3000 in total. If your group came along to help then we would hope to be able to give a donation to your group/chosen charity, but we can’t guarantee this. We can however guarantee that it’s a fun day, even if hard work”.
Activities on which you might be asked to help include:
– Parking and traffic duty
– Helping the Keeper of the Sticks, or the bridge marshals or the line marshals on the main games
– Helping in the registration tent
– Helping on the other village fete games
