Patients at Littlemore Mental Health Centre are being treated to snacks and goodies as Restore shop and café launches a delivery service.
Littlemore Recovery Group has set up a new delivery service for patients who are unable to leave the wards due to the current restrictions.
The Group is providing groceries, toiletries and essentials, plus all important feel-good treats. Restore staff Grace and Louise, have been busy packing patients’ orders and delivering onto wards every Monday and Thursday. This has been highly valued by patients and staff alike.
The Group has also ordered lots of supplies for Oxford Health Charity’s Oxford Health Cares to provide snacks and treats to the trust’s NHS staff, who are working to care for people during the COVID-19 crisis.
Recovery Group Coordinator Grace said: “The Recovery Group has also been spending this time thinking and reflecting on the support we provide for our members. Before we went into lockdown we had managed to do a planning day with them, in a way good timing as we can put into action their feedback and when we eventually reopen we will have a brand new and polished Restore.
“We hope everyone is keeping safe, well, and positive in these difficult times. We are glad to see some sunshine, blossom, and warmth, which under these unusual circumstances, does offer us a moment to focus away from what is happening in the world.”
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and Restore are both part of Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership which, along with Response, Oxfordshire Mind, Connection Support and Elmore Community services, provides mental healthcare and support across the county.
